Hydraulic Roller Briquetting Plant

The Garnet Royal briquetting plant converts fines, dust, and process residues into dense, uniform briquettes that can be stored, transported, and charged without loss. Built around our hydraulic roller briquetting press, the plant is supplied complete with feed preparation, binder mixing, compaction, and product handling—engineered for coal, ores, alumina, and minerals.

Briquetting recovers value that would otherwise be written off. Fines that cannot be charged to a furnace, dust that is a handling and environmental liability, and residues with no saleable form all become a consistent product with predictable size, density, and strength.

Typical process flow

  • Feed preparation — fines are screened and, where required, ground to the size range that compacts reliably.
  • Drying—a single or double shell rotary dryer brings moisture to the window the binder and press need.
  • Mixing—A pan or paddle mixer blends the binder through the feed to a homogeneous, evenly wetted mass.
  • Compaction—A hydraulic roller briquetting press compacts the mix between counter-rotating pocketed rolls at controlled pressure.
  • Curing & screening—briquettes are cured as the binder requires, and undersize is screened out and returned to the circuit.
  • Handlingbelt conveyors and bucket elevators link the stages and deliver finished briquettes to storage or bagging.

ScopeProcess design, manufacture, structures, erection, commissioning

Briquetting behavior is highly material-specific. Share your material, its moisture and size distribution, and the briquette strength you need, and we will propose a circuit and budget.

Why a plant, not just a press

  • Briquette quality depends on moisture and mixing as much as on press pressure—the whole circuit is engineered together.
  • Drying, mixing, compaction, and handling supplied and commissioned by one manufacturer.
  • Roll a pocket profile designed for the briquette your downstream process actually needs.
  • Undersized recirculation is built into the layout, so nothing is lost.
  • All major equipment manufactured in-house.

Applications

  • Coal & coke fines briquetting
  • Iron ore & mineral fines agglomeration
  • Alumina & refractory materials
  • Metal dust & mill scale recovery
  • Charcoal & biomass fuel briquettes
